Reviewer Comments: Sharon Hinck takes readers into the hectic life of a Stay-At-Home Mom struggling to be the perfect wife and mother in her latest book The Secret Life of Becky Miller. Mothers everywhere will relate to Becky as she faces challenge after challenge in her life. Single women may not relate to this book, but if you’re struggling to make a life for your family and your strong belief, some comfort may be found in the pages of this book.

Becky Miller is an average Stay-At-Home Mom. She runs the women’s program at her church, she does laundry, keeps her house running, has dinner on the table, and buses her children from activity to activity. Like all Mom’s, she has doubts about her faith and fears of not reaching her potential in raising her kids. As trouble befalls her and her family, she has to find the path God wants her to follow. Through prayer and a great dialogue with her husband she slowly learns about her path in life.

The Secret Life of Becky Miller is a simple book, designed for a specific audience that will identify with the characters. Each chapter begins with a daydream of adventure that Becky has in her need to escape. Readers may find that these introductions actually take away from a great storyline that is intriguing and substantial.

Hinck does a wonderful job of creating a character that is everything a Christian Stay-At-Home Mom wants to be then throws her some curves to give readers some valuable lessons. Hinck has given readers a superb relationship between Becky and her husband Kevin, by drawing us into the relationship and giving them conflict that is real. Stay-At-Home Mom’s and their husbands will really enjoy this book, filled with realistic experiences and truly faithful women. The Secret Life of Becky Miller is a great read for those Moms struggling with their faith and how to fit their roles in the big picture.
